Gandalfi = I Gandalf (or the ego of Gandalf/Gaddafi).
Gaddafi = Gandalf (from Lord of the Rings) + I (as in Ego).

Isn't Gaddafi's regime the same as Gandalf's would have been if Gandalf had taken the ring of power?

Gandolfi is an Italian surname, from a Lombardic given name Gundulf. I think the connection is the Lombardi surname -- Lombard RAC rally, Lombar Hisszt. If poorly recorded, drums (snare) make a HISSING sound. What about the band Slayer, whose line-up currently is :

The X-Men - X stands for Cain, so that's Cain's bloodline.
