Changgeng looks like changeing, and there are a few lingual crossover words / puns in that book. Friar Sand 'Sha Wujing', is from the desert 'the sea of flowing sands' (or a freshwater floor?), so he's like a burning or heatproof monk of the desert. He has a history of being a bit of a black magician, cannibal and necromancer. Changgeng might be a code word for the planet Mercury. People word dropping 'Culture' in the media as expected, all humans are of a culture, we are of the soup we breathe.
