Edge of Tomorrow (scifi with Tom Cruise) aka Live Die Repeat, is based on the manga All You Need Is Kill. However, the quote 'On your feet maggot!'' by Cruel Sergeant is unique to the moovie. I thought the movie was called Infinite Loop as I forgot what it was called when I watched it Anyhow it's the best east-west (cultural) crossover movie. In the manga he also has a yuuge battleaxe.
Also in Total Recall, Douglas Quaid has a different relationship with his wife. She's actually a sex robot that malfunctioned, is he hallucinating? Did your toaster attack you? Not sure if that's in the book or was part of the planned/unpublished version.
