I don't think the British write their own comedy, that's the best explanation as to why there aren't comedies running about them everyday, also how whoever gives them the comedies get away with really old gags as new. Douglas Duane Dietrich told me that he was told that in the Empire Strikes Back, the Empire was to go to Chewbacca's homeworld and I guess kick all their hairy butts.
